NYC Day 3

Another jammed packed day for our last day in NYC.

27,000+ steps walked today and our feet are screaming at us. Lots more exploring and shopping.

Us posing with the Empire State Building behind us in the distance. More pictures to follow.

Our last day in NYC

Started the day off with a great breakfast at a little local deli, people watching while eating.
Took the subway to the World Trade Center, Hunter and I went into the museum and emotions definitely took over me while reliving that day. It’s so sombering. They did a great job including parts of the twin towers and other artifacts from that day.

We then walked around the Wall Street district, and happened on Trinity Church, ca 1846. With headstones dating back to the 1600’s and 1700’s. There was a smaller church located on the property before the current church was built.

The Stock Exchange building in Wall Street was being worked on, with lots of scaffolding around it so we couldn’t get a a good view of it. We had to get a picture in front of the Trump building. Lots of walking around the financial district.

We took the subway a few times but walked a lot to make sure we saw different areas and hit a lot of shopping.

In the evening we made sure to get NY pizza on our last day and Vito’s Pizza did not disappoint!! Afterwards we continued to walk around and explore. We were contemplating going up to the Edge 100th floor lookout but I chickened out and the boys couldn’t get a reservation within the hour.

They had an outside big screen set up with the baseball game on, so we sat and watched a couple
Innings. It was a nice area and evening.

Jason decided he wanted to see Grand Central Station so at 10pm we got on the Penn Station subway and took it there. Good thing we had Hunter, who got really good at the subway and directions. Grand Central Station was pretty awesome and so historical.

Outside Grand Central Station Hunter looked up and was excited to see the Chrysler Building. Our whole trip he kept saying he wanted to see it and finally got to.

It was a fast and furious 3 days in the city and I’m glad we got to experience it. Not sure any of us, besides Hunter, want to go back, lol.
