NYC Day 2

 New York City Day 2

Today we took the ferry to the Statue of Liberty 🗽 and Ellis Island. The Statue of Liberty is so much bigger than I imagined. On Ellis Island We found Jason’s great, great grandfathers name, Otto Folgmann, on the records of passengers that arrived there, which is really cool.

We then went to see the 9/11 memorial but it was closed for the evening so we walked around the area a little bit and saw One World Trade Center. Wow, can’t believe how tall that building is.

Afterwards we went to Little Italy and had a delicious Italian dinner. What a cool area although we had to walk thru some not so great, sketchy areas to get there, but that’s how NY is. Then it was off to do some shopping.

Even though we still walked a ton, we did ride the subway a lot more, it’s definitely the best way to get around the city.

Best quote so far as we’re strolling past some homeless guys with Zander walking in front of Hunter and I last night.
“That’s right big man, lead the pack, take care of mama”
🤣 I started cracking up the way he said it.
