A little rain, hail, sleet never hurt anybody

Sunday, Oct. 26 was supposed to be our Halloween block party. This year we watched the weather very closely days before and had come to terms that the party was just not going to happen. Forecasted was 46 degrees with rain, sleet, and hail showers throughout the day. When we woke up on Sunday morning, to our surprise the sun was shining, so I guess the party was going to happen afterall.

We got our snacks and games together, pulled the wagon to the cul-de-sac and shivered while we waited for the other neighbors to arrive. The sky kept on spitting at us, but nothing bad, until........ it decided to sleet. So I guess the weather man was actually right!! Our party moved into the Heberts garage to continue the fun. We have learned our lesson, next year, why wait until the end of October, we are doing it at the very beginning and maybe even in September.
