Hockey?!?

For those of you that really know Hunter know that he gets hooked on something and doesn't stop, for example, last year when everything was Spiderman. He dressed like Spidey, shot everything with his webs, his whole room is decorated in Spiderman. Well, the new fad of Hunter is Hockey, thanks to the movie The Mighty Ducks. How in a family of almost every sport, baseball, football (Jason), soccer, and volleyball (Stacy), both of us on the Varsity team in these sports for the majority of our high school careers, could our child be hooked on hockey? Don't get me wrong, hockey is a cool sport, but it's a very expensive sport and one that we never thought our child would want to play. Granted Hunter is only 3 3/4 years old, and this just could be a thing that comes and goes, but for right now, we think, eat, and sleep hockey, well atleast Hunter does.

We decided to go out Sunday to the store and have him try on some ice skates and a helmet, he loved them, and "walked" in the skates very steadily. So while Jason distracted Hunter elsewhere in the store, I purchased new skates, helmet, stick, and puck for our budding hockey player for his birthday gift. When we left the store I asked Jason when were we going to give him his gift.... at his birthday party, or on his birthday? To make a long story not much longer, we ended up going to open skate that afternoon. I should have known, when Jason buys something for somebody, it's impossible for him to hold the gift for 24 hours, let alone another month.

So here is Hunter in his new garb!!! As Jason got him all ready and we were getting ready to get on the ice, Jason said to Hunter, "Go get 'em Hunter," Hunters reply, "Who are we getting Dad?"

He looks like a true hockey player, all sweaty!!

*The video's are out of order, the 2nd video is Hunters very first time on the ice*
