North Stars in Nashville

The BTAA North Stars headed to Nashville., TN for the PREDSidents Day Classic Tournament.

Me and Z made the trip down and stayed with Kyle and Sonya for the weekend.

Zander had an absolutely great weekend, putting up 11 points in 5 games, even scoring 5 goals in one of the games. He led his division in points and came in 6th overall for all ages and all divisions which included 745 players.

The first game was the closest and after that the North Stars dominated the tournament in their division.

Tied 1-1 vs Kirkwood Stars

Won 7-1 Twin Bridges Lightning

Won 5-3 vs Lansing Spartans

Won 9-0 vs East Coast Militia

Won 4-0 vs Lansing Spartans - Championship Game - CHAMPIONS!!

Zander took a bad hit to his shoulder during the championship game and he knew something happened- he ended up going back out and a couple shifts later he got cut by a skate blade right above his knee. Thankfully Mrs/Dr Conaway was there and helped him with the cut, which probably needed stitches but glue worked for him to get back in the game. Dr. Peters saw him the day we got home and after an X-ray and CT Scan, he said his should dislocated internally, which is not the way it usually does and it’s very dangerous. Has to stay out of games for 4 weeks.
