Our pre-Halloween day started out very early in the morning with a parade full of glow-in-the-dark-skeletons and ghosts and a boxer who was really into his fight and witches and butterflies and Kid Rock? Yep Kid Rock was there, hilarious costume, mullet, glasses, chest hair, funny! Hunter was representing the SWAT team. Only him and another older boy were there from their squad. Hundreds of kids dressed up in their Halloween costumes and crowded in the gym for us parents to get a good look at them and once they were all crammed in sitting "criss cross applesauce" the music teacher led them through their Halloween songs. Halloween songs I have never heard before that is until Hunter started singing one song to me "Ghost of John" and now I can't seem to get it out of my head. I think I will share it with you so you can sing along with me and hopefully get it stuck in your head so I can get it our of mine.
Ghost of John
Have you seen the ghost of john?
Long white bones with the skin all gone
WOOOOO wooooo oooo oooooooo
Wouldn't it be chilly with no skin on?
Am I the only parent who gets teary eyed and choked up watching all these kids dressed up and listening to them sing? Why is that when I am so happy, instead of being able to laugh fully, I am laughing while crying, please tell me this is the only Mother flaw!

Hunter wasn't the only one who got to enjoy a Halloween parade, Zander got to go to his very first Halloween parade. Grandma Lori and Aunt Sonya took him and Alivia to a Halloween parade at the TC Library. Grandma said Zander did very good and walked a good part of the way. Him and Alivia looked absolutely adorable, you just want to squeeeeeezzzzzzeeeeee them!
