Zander made his first 'long' trip downstate and was wonderful! It was his older brother that we were going to strap to the top of the truck (Hunter was way excited and couldn't contain himself for the 5 hour trip.) Hunter, Zander and I hitched a ride downstate with Grandma and Grandpa Folgmann (I wouldn't tackle this trip by myself with 2 kids just yet.)
We rolled into downriver (Brownstown, MI) at almost 11pm on Thursday 4/8. Hunter had to run Grandpas trains right away and Zander was wide awake playing with all the 'new' toys spread out on the floor for him. Surprisingly, Zander didn't act strange at all and went to whoever wanted to hold him. We finally went to bed at 1:30 am. Friday was a busy day with Hunter and Zander getting their pictures taken and then visiting with the family at night. Hunter was in his glory, his best bud, best friend and best cousin (almost like brothers, Hunter says) Asher was finally there to play with him. Then came Brendon and Trevor, Avery and Addison, Lauren and Madelyn, Diane (we count her in the kids bunch), Kim and Amber (who Hunter always loves to see but always acts shy around) and many more family members to spend the evening visiting and laughing. We love coming downstate and getting together with the whole gang. Another night up until atleast 1 am (I turned in at 1 am, Hunter was still up with Grandma.)
Saturday it was time to head to the park and back to Ashers house for a full day of playing, fun
and yet another easter egg/basket hunt. And then Sunday came (way too soon) and it was time to leave, but not before going to Ashers indoor soccer game and back to his house for some more playing. Hunter gets so sad when we have to leave, he wishes he had 2 houses, "one across the street from Asher and the other next door to Grandma Cousino.: Another jammed pack trip downstate. Next ETA for downstate; August, 2010 for the family picnic.
Here comes the pictures!!!
The new round of cousins (phew their adding up!)
