I can't believe it's over. All the excitement, all the shopping, all the food, it's all over.
We started the Christmas Holiday by making chocolate chip cookies for Santa Clause. We then went to Grandma and Grandpa Mark Lori's house for a delicious Christmas Eve meal and another "dinner situation." Grandma Lori likes to try new recipes, which is good, but normally new meals are cooked before hand to make sure they come out on the day you want to serve it. The menu was supposed to be: Shrimp fettuccine with scallops and homemade gnocci's with a mushroom wine sauce, sounds pretty fancy huh?!? Our dinner ended up being frozen cheese ravioli with jarred pasta sauce, we did have the shrimp fettuccine, but mostly everybody ate the other. Even the rolls were a little crispy. We always have a great laugh when we go over there, there is always something bound to happen, (Look back at the Thanksgiving dinner post).
We headed home about 9pm and made sure to put out our chocolate chip cookies and milk for the big guy and carrots, celery, and water for the reindeer. After looking on the computer to see where Santa was on the Santa tracker and reading our 4 favorite Christmas books it was off to bed. Hunter woke up about 4 times in the middle of the night because he was getting pretty sick, but miraculously he woke up and felt a lot better, he said Santa made him feel better. He peeked around to see if Santa had been to our house and sure enough he had been there. Hunter had 2 presents under his little tree in his room, which means Santa walked upstairs and into Hunters bedroom, pretty sneaky that Santa. Hunter opened those gifts on his bed and made the comment after opening his football guys, "Even Santa goes to Toys R Us," that took us a little by surprise, (you will be able to hear it on the first video).
We then made our way downstairs to see if Santa left anymore gifts for Hunter. Well, Hunter must have been an very, very good boy this year because Santa surely didn't skimp on presents, he got Hunter everything he wanted and more. Hunter opened up all his gifts, but didn't see the one that he really wanted, his GeoTrax Airport. We ended up finding it hidden behind the chair, that sneaky Santa again!
I still can't believe Christmas is all over for another 365 days! The count down is already on for next year.
Hunters gift from Grandma and Grandpa Mark Lori, his own golf club set. Now we have to teach him again how to hold golf clubs (it's not hockey Hunter). And, they accidentally got Hunter a left handed set.

"He even goes to Toys R Us" Hunter said that about Santa.
