COWS

The cows at the beginning of our subdivision have been starting to have their calves. I feel so sorry for these poor animals. First they have to live outside in the cold and muck and any other kind of miseralbe weather, and not too mention their poor babies come from the warmth and security of their mother and get born into the cold and muck and any other kind of miserable weather. Their mere existance is not the greatest, and to give birth by yourself to a baby all by yourself with no drugs, where does the cruelty end?? Gosh, it almost makes you not want to give birth after watching these poor mommas, sorry Laurie. Good thing when I give birth, I am totally numb and the doctors do all the work. But it sure does make it fun for those of us that like to go and just stand at the edge of their fence and watch them, thanks Cows for giving us entertainment.

Hunter rode his bike while I walked, but on the way home, it got really cold and windy, so I ended up carrying him most of the way while pulling his bike, what a workout!

The cow in the middle, where all you see is her butt, she gave birth either last night or this morning. I saw her with her baby calf on my way to work. So counting, we have 2 black calves and a brown and white one.
