This weekend the City of Woodhaven was holding their annual Harvest Festival. Grandma, Grandpa, Hunter and Mommy got to go and had a great time. Hunter and Mommy went on a hayride and got to ride on Thomas the train. We got to see some very cool animals; a Zebra, some kangaroo's, a BIG camel, which people got to go for rides on, but the most exciting thing that happened there was SPIDERMAN!!! Hunter actually got to see his hero close up. Spiderman came up to Hunter, who was wearing his Spiderman shirt, and waved to him and touched him. Hunter didn't know what to do, I wanted to take a picture of Hunter and Spiderman but wasn't able to. Hunter told Daddy on the phone later that night that he got to see Spiderman but "my webs were all gone" he said in a very sad voice, and that is why he couldn't talk to Spiderman. But thankfully his webs have returned this morning, whew.
After the festival, we got to go to the Homecoming game at Woodhaven High School. Hunter got to see where Mommy and Daddy went to school, and he got to see the football field where Daddy was the quarterback, he was the BEST quarterback!!! We got to see all the pretty "princesses" at half time. Grandma's neighbor Melissa Jackson was the Sophmore princess, she was sooooo beautiful!!!! After half time, Woodhaven ran the kick off all the way for a touch down, it was very exciting. When we left Woodhaven was beating Lincoln Park (Grandma's alma mater) 41-0, and the one player had 4 touchdowns that game. What an awesome Homecoming game.
We had so much fun on Friday, visiting Grandma Verdoot, going to the festival and the homecoming game. If only it was just a little bit warmer outside, it was quite cold.
