Sunday night, Grandma Cousino, Great Aunt Mary and Amber were over our house, they had just gotten here hours before. We were outside going for a walk, and Hunter had to go pee. So we got his stool, went pee, pulled up his pants, and Hunter went to jump off his stool, but when he did, the stool went out from under him and he came down hard straight on the toilet with his chin. It was so horrifying, I was standing right there and couldn't do anything, it happened so fast. I picked him up and held him to me, everyone rushed in when they heard him crying and me screaming, they took a look at him and there was blood all over his chin and mouth and on my shoulder. At first we couldn't figure out where he was bleeding, finally Jason saw his chin and said right away he is going to need stitches. So off we went to the hospital. So we are in the waiting room, it's about 10pm, we have Hunter, me, Jason, Grandma Cousino, Mary, Amber and Grandma and Grandpa Folgmann there. Everyone is probably thinking what the heck are they all doing here, because at this time, Hunter was okay and was running around and having a good ole time with everyone there with him. Finally about midnight, they call him back to see the Dr. The Doc took one look at his chin and said "this is going to need some work". They gave me a cotton ball with numbing medicine on it to hold to his chin, and then they gave him some "drug" by mouth. They told us this should make him sleepy, but on some kids it does the opposite. Well guess which it did to Hunter? Oh my God, he had us all cracking up. He was drunk. He was singing and laughing, and the Dr.'s and nurses were all laughing at him, which made him laugh even harder, we got some pics of Hunter in his drunk stage. Then, the Dr. came in the start the procedure. UGH, just writing this is hard to think back. So they wrap him up in this cloth thingy so that he can't move and one nurse is actually laying on top of him and the other nurse is holding his head, and then the Doc comes with the needle (pause for a shiver)..........the first poke, Hunter yells out OWEY!!! The poor little child can't move and this needle is going into his boo-boo, your darn right it's an OWEY!! Then he just starts screaming and crying and yelling, "LET ME OUT", "I'M STUCK", and he was yelling, "I WANT MOMMY". What in the heck are you supposed to do when your child is yelling and is such pain and can't move and you can't do a darn thing about it??? You try to be strong for him, but it's the hardest thing I have had to do so far in being a Mother. I felt totally helpless!!! Finally, it was over, the stitches were in, about 6 of them and Hunter was exhausted from screaming and yelling, and they get him out and I scoop him up and hold him and kiss him and then he says "Mommy Pee", yep the poor child had to go pee, so he did right on Mommy, he the least I could do is let the child pee on me!!! From yelling so hard, he broke alot of the blood vessels around his face, so for the past few days his face and neck have been blotchy, but thank goodness it was over. They check his vitals and let us take him home. Once we got home at around 2am, he was still so drunk and funny and awake. One minute he would be cracking up and slurring his words the next he would be sad and crying and then he would be angry and mad, it was all the stages of a drunk. I had to get him on video. He couldn't walk without us holding him, he couldn't really keep his head up, I have never before seen a drunk 2 year old, but that was exactly what he was. Finally at around 2:30am, he fell asleep on my lap while I was rocking him.
What a night!!!
But I am sure this won't be the last time we have him in the ER, it's probably just the beginning!!
In the waiting room

Daddy reading to Hunter in the waiting room

Playing in the waiting room, where he said "my boo-boo's all gone"

Getting ready for the dr.

All wrapped up and ready to begin, except he didn't realize here what was going to happen, he was still really happy.

After the stitches, he is trying to clean himself with a wipe, but he can't really hold his head up.

He's really wobbly, and kept saying cheese after the camera snapped his picture, he was just a little bit delayed.

Here we are the next day cleaning his boo-boo, he kept telling us not touch, so we let him clean it.
