Happy Mommy's Day- The park, a wild turkey, a snake, a grouse, a mouse and a catapillar, OH MY!!!

Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers reading Hunters World!!! Today was a beautiful day up here in TC. The weather was around 70 degrees, no wind, beautiful blue skies, so we took Hunter to Bryant Park by the water. What a great little park, and the beach is awesome, can't wait to go there in the summer. Hunter had alot of fun, and would rather play on the playground than in the sand, which is unusual, he probably knew he couldn't go swimming this time. After we spent some time at the playground, we went driving around the woods up here, where Daddy showed us where his hunting spot was, but the main reason for going in the woods, was to take a picture of "my barn" that I am trying to get a picture of at every season. So while we were driving we came across 2 big wild turkeys, a grouse (which Jason spotted on the side of the road going about 30 mph, you can tell he hunts for these), a snake (we stopped to take a picture of the lake that I had walked on when it was ice, and I turned around and what was slithering on the step but a snake, pretty cool), Hunter was in the car sleeping, so I tried to get a picture of it, that darn thing is fast. So we got home put Hunter in bed, since the poor thing fell asleep in the car like most weekends, and Jason and I went out to the backyard to clean up some of the brush and stuff that was left in a big pile for us. While moving some branches I noticed something run by me really fast, at first I said Jason a big frog, then I saw the tail, oops not a frog....It ran under a piece of cement we have in the backyard, so I lifted the cement and there it was, a mouse, it was actually kind of cute. But Jason didn't want it multiplying or the dogs to get it, so he put it to sleep, poor thing. I think I am getting rather brave being up here with all these different animals. The only thing I will never ever get brave against is spiders, and what is our son's favorite movie.....SPIDER MAN!!!! The neighbor across the street killed a big spider in their garage a couple weeks ago, and he swears it was a brown recluse. Mom remember the spider we thoughtfully kept in a jar for your first visit with us, I swear that was a brown recluse too. And Jason said there are no spiders up here, LIAR!!!! So the last little critter we just saw as we went outside was a catapillar. Out of all the critters we have seen today I like the catapillar the best because it turns into a beautiful butterfly. Guess what Hunter named the catapillar??? FRANK!!!
Cool Swing!!!
Beautiful view
